Black Beauty Determined…

This is what it’s come down to for Black Hollywood? No longer being proud of the very features which set us apart…but instead choosing to crop shit off of our bodies, that the anglo saxon world is paying top dollar for to have added on? Does that shit makes sense to you? Undecided I’m wondering-in this Xmas season-how many black people are getting gift certificates, gift cards for plastic surgery??

Note: I am NOT against plastic surgery. But I am against surgery which is used to erase all that is you. Your essence.

Vivica Fox, Lil Kim, Michael Jackson…celebrities who WERE beautiful chose to put their trust in surgeons who never KNEW them…’cept for a few min (or maybe a couple of hours-since they’re celebrities) during a consult-and have now deemed themselves to know EXACTLY what it is these people need. sigh You have GOT TO BE KIDDING, me?!

I would LOVE to know how many doctors actually told Lil Kim, HELL NAWWW you don’t need surgery-you need COUNSELING!! I am aware there aren’t many african american plastic surgeons-but why would we allow non-black surgeons to work on our skin? I wouldn’t let a non-black do my hair, or make my soul food. There are some things that only a person LIKE ME can understand. As far as my teeth or my female plumbing etc…we all share those one and all…but my skin, my features-NO.

Why have we allowed PHOTOSHOP to determine our beauty and our worth? Did you know that even the most FLAWLESS supermodels are also victims of Photoshop?? Get a grip Black Hollywood. If it’s broke fix it, if it’s not LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE. Otherwise, I’m talking about your asses.
